Tutta Italia Puzza di Cacca

 Florence and Pisa are amazing! Most of these pictures are of buildings and Plazas that are 800 to 1000 years old.

We got a cab to the meeting place for the tour I had arranged (receipt said 8:30, agent says 9:30- welcome to Italy!)

We got on the enclosed 2 story bus but couldn't sit together since ours were the last 4 seats. A quick hour ride later we arrived in Florence, and our trilingual guide Allessandro began our tour through the streets of this magnificent and ancient town, the birthplace of the Renaissance. 

I'll just label the places I remember the names of. Most are just street scenes.

Our guide recommended a little restaurant, Ginori, on one of the narrow streets he led us through, and gave us 45 minutes to eat lunch. Once again, delicious food, nicely presented and made to order. Are there any bad restaurants in Italy?

The tour resumed and walked past Il Duomo and the leather market (I got a new belt!) before returning to the bus.

Then it was on to Pisa in our bus. We passed lots of agricultural areas and views of old country estates, and the Appenines along the way.

Then we got to Pisa and walked to the square containing the Tower, it's Cathedral, and associated buildings.

Bus back to Port was uneventful, but we got back too late for formal dining and ate from the buffet instead. Our final show included a contortionist we hadn't seen before.

Amazing!

Tomorrow we are off to Rome for our final 3 days. More then! No icebergs yet!
